Service types

Bus routes and train lines are organized by service types. Each type has its own colour and symbol telling you when and where a route travels.

O-Train Line Line 1

12.5-kilometre light-rail service that connects 13 stations from Tunney’s Pasture in the west to Blair in the east.

Frequency
Peak service runs every 5 minutes or less. Frequent service throughout the day and never more than 15 minutes after midnight or on weekends. End-to-end travel time less than 30 minutes.
Capacity
Each train car can carry up to 336 passengers comfortably.

O-Train Line Line 2

19 kilometre diesel light-rail service running from Limebank Station in the south to Bayview Station just west of downtown.

Frequency
Trains run 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) during this initial launch phase, operating approximately every 12 minutes.
Capacity
Each train can accommodate 420 passengers comfortably.
O-Train Connections
Connects to Line 1Line 1at Bayview Station and to Line 4Line 4at South Keys station.

O-Train Line Line 4

Bypasses city traffic, taking you to the airport. This new link will provide reliable and frequent service to a modern new station directly at the Departures level.

Frequency
Trains run 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) during this initial launch phase, operating approximately every 12 minutes.
Capacity
Each train can accommodate 262 passengers comfortably.
O-Train Connections
Connects to Line 2Line 2at South Keys Station.

Frequent. Local. Connected.

Frequent routes

Frequent routes offer reliable, high frequency bus service along major roads.

Frequency
Runs seven days a week, generally every 15 minutes or less on busy sections of the route from 6 am to 6 pm on weekdays.
Exceptions
Routes 61, 62, and 63 provide a combined service every 15-minutes or better, on average, during the day on weekdays east of Eagleson Station (excluding Bayshore Station). On some sections of these routes in Kanata, and in certain directions, a 30-minute service is provided to meet ridership demands.

Local routes

Local routes offer customized routing and schedules to serve destinations that are not on Frequent routes.

Frequency
Frequency varies according to the day of the week, time, and the neighbourhood a route is serving.
Limited local routes
A symbol with a white background and grey border Limited Local Routemeans that the route only runs during certain times of the day, or on certain days of the week. These include School, Shopper, and Events routes.

Connexion routes

Connexion routes offer convenient and reliable peak-period service between residential communities and the O-Train.

Frequency
Runs on weekdays during rush-hours.
O-Train Connections
Routes in the 220s, 230s, 250s, 260s, and 270s connect to Line 1Line 1at either Tunney's Pasture or Blair stations. Routes in the 280s and 290s connect to Line 2Line 2at Limebank Station. Additionally, Route 294 connects to Line 4Line 4at South Keys Station.
